Expensive Disposable Cutlery

Disposable cutlery intended for use once or a number of times. Such types of disposable spoon, fork, knife or chopstick are generally known. They are generally used in circumstances in which it is difficult to collect them after use and then wash them for reuse, such as, for example, at large exhibitions. Another example of where disposable spoons, knives and forks are used is take-away meals, where such objects can be packed with the meal. In aircraft also it is not uncommon to supply disposable cutlery with the meal. All this has led to an enormous expansion in the use of disposable cutlery.

The large scale on which disposable cutlery is used is, however, beginning to lead to major disadvantages for the environment. The known disposable spoons, knives and forks are made of plastic, the destruction of which is giving rise to problems. It can happen here that they go into ordinary domestic refuse which is used for, for example, the preparation of compost. The burning of plastic waste also produces problems. It can therefore be said that, despite the continuing great demand, the above-mentioned type of disposable cutlery is not so suitable, on account of the objections which are made to it from the environmental point of view.

The benefits of plastic flatware and plastic cutlery don’t end in its functionality and affordability. These can also be easily kept and stored while the vehicle is moving as the lids allow the food to remain protected from all sorts of mishandling and accidental spillage. Moreover, the physical feature of plastic flatware and disposable cutlery is classy so it can totally replace the use of other utensils that are heavy and expensive. Aside from that, problems regarding garbage after food consumption can easily be addressed because these materials are designed for one time use and can be thrown away in trash receptacles.
